New students welcome anytime. Please bear in mind that you can come to any of the classes to create a flexible training programme. Not necessarily on the same day each week, or if you miss a week you can double up the following week etc. Chen Tai Chi Basics – Classes start with a foundation class which everyone is encouraged to take, here you can learn the basics of tai chi principles, chi kung exercise and the short form of Chen style Tai Chi. The perfect start to the evening. Basic Tai Chi forms in easy to follow weekly classes. Tai Chi Forms – People from the first group can then, by invitation and prior discussion with the instructor, progress to the Tai Chi forms class. Topics for the forms groups vary, but include long form, weapons forms, and partner work. Advanced class – Again by invitation and prior discussion with the instructor this group offers advanced training in tai chi principles and techniques. The emphasis is more on push ands and martial applications as well as weapons forms. This class will be in addition to another class each week, so by this stage you will be training two nights a week.
